The bareback padd that really promotes the rider's vertical seat!
This is an updated version of the popular LaBona Dressage I pad. This pad has a calfskin as upper material with a wider channel, softer padding in the pillows than the previous modell.
The pad has a narrow waist and built-up seat so that the legs can hang straight down from the hip and give the rider a vertical / neutral seat without falling into back weight. The rear part of the seat is so wide that your seatbones receive good support and you find a comfortable and correct seat with balance between seatbones and pubic bone. With only 5-6 mm thin flaps it gives you a very close contact.
The seat and pillows are filled with soft synthetic wool. You can also adjust the padding by adding or removing where needed through two openings on the bottom of the pillows. The underside is like all La Bona padds made of wool felt - a nature material that breathes. The padding adapts to your and your horse's anatomy after a couple of rides.
The pad is suitable for all horse types. The pad has wither freedom and works for a small to medium high wither, at higher withers we recommend a Grandeur underlay with a pocket for wedge shaped inlays to get a lift in the front. See item 225 and 226.
Especially on horses with really wide backs, the rider benefits from the raised seat and waist which makes the hips relaxed and the rider does not have to sit in the seat.
This pad is suitable for riders who need a narrow to medium wide waist and has a narrow/medium wide pelvis different from the Pro / grandiosa models which suits riders who require a wider waist. The Dressage II is a bit flatter than Dressage I that is more bit more upbuilt in the front. To give support to the pubic bone for those needed.
